A tragic accident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district earlier today, claiming the lives of three Indian Army soldiers when their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge. The incident took place along the critical Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).
The soldiers who tragically lost their lives in this unfortunate incident have been identified as Amit Kumar, Sujeet Kumar, and Man Bahadur. The Army community and the nation mourn the loss of these brave individuals who were serving the country.
The accident scene, located near Battery Chashma in the Ramban district, presented a grim picture. Visuals from the site showed the mangled wreckage of the Army truck lying in the steep, 700-feet-deep gorge. According to initial reports, the truck was part of a larger military convoy proceeding from Jammu towards Srinagar. The accident happened around 11:30 am as the convoy navigated the challenging terrain of the national highway, a vital route connecting the region.

Personnel from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the spot.
